EASTER IS HERE!

Easter is one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year. In addition to the actual holidays, there are many people who can enjoy a few days of vacation, and colleges and universities close their doors throughout the week.

So, It is the perfect time to enjoy these days in one of the most fascinating cities in Spain and Europe: Madrid. During Easter, there is large number of religious and cultural events in Madrid, among which are the numerous processions that will cross the streets. These include the passage of the Christ of Faith and Forgiveness, that will take place on Palm Sunday, and of Our Father Jesus of Health, which will take place on Holy Wednesday, and that will tour the main streets in the city.

And of course, we cannot forget the gastronomy. During Easter, we cannot miss the opportunity to taste the traditional chickpea stew from Madrid, cod croquettes, served in many restaurants, and of course, «torrijas», on sale in all pastry shops in Madrid..

And to finish Easter … «tamborrada«. During Easter Sunday morning a «tamborrada» will take place in Plaza Mayor in Madrid, beginning an itinerary that will close these traditional religious celebrations.
