What to see in Madrid

Madrid is a city that invites you to know it, to explore it and to discover it completely. Enough reason to give you a sample of the emblematic, fun and interesting places to enjoy. But what to see in Madrid if you are willing to tour the city?

The capital has once again become an international tourism banner thanks to the Fitur fair. Madrid hotels have had all our rooms complete with the 250,000 visitors who have arrived at the city to enjoy the fair.

And surely many of those attending the fair who have visited us will have taken the opportunity to get to know the city and have asked themselves, «what to see in Madrid».

What to see in Madrid: places of interest

The list of places of interest in Madrid is almost inexhaustible. But we can make a small selection with six sites that you cannot miss.

#1. Triangle of museums

In the mall that delimits the old town and El Retiro is the Golden Triangle. There are located three of the most important museums in Madrid: Prado Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofía Museum.
Being so close, it is possible to visit them all the same day, and even on foot.

#2. Plaza de Cibeles

Symbol of the city. It is located in an area of significant historical and architectural value, because in addition to the plaza and the fountain of the goddess, you will see the Cibeles Palace, Buenavista Palace, the Bank of Spain and its imposing structure, and Linares Palace.

It is located at the junction of Alcalá, Recoletos and Paseo del Prado.

#3. Warner Park

Named several times as the safest theme park in Spain. Although it has many attractions, its two main roller coasters stand out: Superman and Batman, which reach up to 90 kilometers per hour in 50-meter falls.
Therefore, if you like extreme experiences and do not want to be so far from the center, Warner Park may be what you are looking for.

#4. Gardens of Sabatini

Small, but impressive. The Sabatini Gardens were created in the 30s, they are located in front of the north facade of the Royal Palace of Madrid.
A green space of about 3 hectares that is an architectural work mixed with living nature that invites a fresh journey, at your own pace.

Ideal to escape the noise of the streets of Madrid.

#5. Retiro Park

To end the afternoon, there’s nothing better than getting lost for a while in El Retiro, the most important park in the city, where you can take long walks, bike rides, boat ride on the lake, read under a tree or enjoy the show of street artists that entertain tourists.

More than 125 hectares, more than 15,000 trees, including the oldest in Madrid, and free admission. An oasis of tranquility.
And to culminate this walk through Madrid, places of interest and others, nothing fancies more than isolated from the noise and the vertigo of the metropolis, without renouncing the modern and avant-garde of one of its most central and exclusive areas.
